Pastor Duane Allen Prinkey, 61, of Freeport, died August 25, 2014, at his home.
Born July 19, 1953 in Freeport he was the son of Leroy L. and Betty (DeFrane) Prinkey. He married Laurie Apodaca October 25, 2013.
Duane was an LPN working at Presence St. Joseph Center.
Survivors include his wife, Laurie of Freeport; his sons, Kevin Heuser, Lance Corporal Brian (Kirsten) Heuser, and Daniel Prinkey all of Freeport; his grandchildren, Jordan Erickson, Dylan Prinkey, Mackenzie Prinkey, Lilly and Matthew Heuser; his great grandson, Jordan Erickson Jr.; his brothers, James Prinkey of Pueblo, Colorado and Robert Prinkey of Broadhead, Wisconsin; his sister, Barbara Lacy of Rockford.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rose Prinkey; brother, Thomas Prinkey.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Walker Mortuary.
