Obituary

Earl R. Baumgartner, 86, of Freeport, died Friday, August 29, 2008, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born September 11, 1921 in Freeport he was the son of John and Helena (Brinkmeier) Baumgartner. He married Ruth Staas December 24, 1952.
Earl was a Pearl City farmer for 44 years. After farming he worked at Micro Switch and then at Structo until his retirement.
Earl did volunteer work at the FHN Memorial Hospital for years.
He was a passionate farmer and avid Cub fan who enjoyed good food, playing cards, socializing with his friends, and walking.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth of Freeport; 3 daughters, Dianna (Tony) Jacobs of Freeport, Kathy (Larry) Bohnert of Monroe, Wisconsin, and Connie (Rod) Marsh of Freeport; 1 sister, Mae Barklow of Freeport; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and 1 brother, Leo Baumgartner.
Funeral service will be Thursday 1 p.m. at Walker Mortuary with Pastor Steve Owen of Liberty Baptist Church in Monroe, Wisconsin officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Thursday 11 a.m. until time of service at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial has been established for FHN Memorial Hospice.
