Freeport- Edith M. Hauth, 89, of Freeport died Sunday February 27, 2005 at FHN Memorial Hospital. Born May 18, 1915 in Eldora, IA she was the daughter of Jacob and Agnes (Penning) Miller. She married John Hauth August 20, 1947 in Freeport. He died in 1993. She worked for the Heine Plastic Company in Freeport prior to her retirement in 1968. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Freeport. Survivors include nieces, Marie Flynn, Gladys Appel, Irma (Homer) Johnson, Shirley (Jerry) Hunefield, Doris (Gerald) Bork, Clarice Kraft; nephews Raymond (Donna) Miller, Harley (Kay) Dirksen, special care giver Jon Flynn and companion and best friend Jamie her dog. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Reverend John Cahill officiating. Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Walker Mortuary with rosary starting at 4pm. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
