Edith (Darby) Kerlin, 96, formerly of Freeport, passed away from an apparent heart attack June 17, 2014.
Born April 17, 1918 she was the daughter of Jacob and Jessie (Wilson) Smith. She married Edwin Darby June 18, 1954 and he died June 8, 1973. She married Ralph W. Kerlin November 3, 1984 and he died September 28, 1986.
She retired from Micro Switch, after 35 years, in 1978.
She moved to Arizona in 1984.
Surviving are her daughter, Phyllis (John) King of Sun City, Arizona; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; her daughter, Shirley and son-in-law John Spedding and son-in-law John Owens.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at First United Methodist Church in Freeport. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
A memorial has been established.
