Obituary

Edward Kleparski, 92 of Rock City died Tuesday January 22, 2013 at Medina Nursing Center in Durand. Born December 9, 1920 Medford, WI he was the son of Andrew and Sophie (Brost) Kleparski. He was a graduate of Medford High School in 1940. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in WWII. On June 7, 1949 he and Kathryn Hoffman were united in marriage at Fennimore, WI. For 28 years he worked for Rockford Clutch and farmed in the Rock City area for many years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Irish Grove Davis. Surviving are his wife of Rock City, three sons Donald Kleparski of Freeport, Bradley (Julie) Kleparski of Machesney Park, Mark (Laurie) Kleparski of Rock City; two daughters Janet (Dan) Gilbertson of Roscoe, Patricia (Steve) Green of South Beloit; four granddaughters, four grandsons, three great grandsons; sister Helen Fierke of Stetsonville, WI. Preceding him in death were his parents, five brothers, three sisters. Visitation will be Friday from 5pm until 7pm at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 115 S. West St. Dakota, IL. Funeral Mass will be 10am Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church Irish Grove, Davis with Msgr. Eric Barr officiating. Burial will be at the St. Patrick's Church Cemetery, Irish Grove. A memorial has been established in his name. Edward's family would like to thank Medina Nursing Center for all the compassion and care during his stay.
