Obituary

Edward H. Sincock, age 95 of Freeport, IL, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport. He was born September 13, 1921 in Scales Mound, IL; son of the late Samuel and Agnes (Jewell) Sincock. On March 27, 1951, Edward married Emma Rose Ischi at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Darlington, WI; she passed on March 3, 2015.

He had farmed on the family farm for many years. In later years he and Emma Rose did maintenance and custodial work for several places in Freeport. Edward was a member of 1 st Baptist Church in Freeport where he was also custodian for several years. He was an accomplished pianist and playing was his life's passion. He was the faithful pianist for the Baileyville Baptist Church and also played for other area churches, hospitals, nursing homes, retirement centers, and the Rockford Rescue Mission. He was still playing piano just a few days before he went home to be with the Lord.

Edward is survived by his daughter, Jeanette (Pastor Stephen) Terpstra of La Crosse, WI; grandchildren & great grandchildren; sister, Frances Louise (Monty) Budahl of Watertown, WI; and niece and nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Emma Rose; brother, Stuart; and sister, Mary.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 9 th at 10:30 am at the Baileyville Baptist Church in Baileyville, IL with visitation beginning at 9:30 am. Interment will take place at the Scales Mound Cemetery in Scales Mound, IL. A memorial fund has been established.
