Effie Viola Johnson, 97, of Freeport, died Sunday, February 12, 2012, at Manor Court.
Born October 10, 1914 in Boyceville, Wisconsin she was the daughter of Ibe and Ida (Morgan) Jents. She married Ellsworth Johnson April 8, 1942 and he died April 19, 1986.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church.
Surviving is 1 son, E. John (Karen) Johnson of Pearl City; 2 grandchildren, Joshua (Christina) Johnson of Frankfort and Kellie (Shane) Arndt of Denver, Colorado;2 great grandchildren, Lexie and Sydney Johnson of Frankfort.
She was preceded in death by her husband; 1 daughter; 1 sister; and 4 brothers.
Funeral service and burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2012 in the Chapel of Peace at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial has been established.
