Eileen T. Buss, 96, of Freeport, died Monday, August 29, 2016 at her home.
Born August 6, 1920 in Stockton she was the daughter of Walter and Tresea (Coch) Blair. She married Charles Buss June 7, 1947 and he died in December of 1985.
Eileen worked at Burgess, W.T. Rawleigh, and then Micro Switch until retirement.
An avid bowler she enjoyed long phone conversations, eating out, and trips to the casino.
Surviving are her daughters, Jeannie (Mike) Hiveley of North Point, Florida and Karen (Randall) Burkhalter of Freeport; her brothers, Dale Blair and Jerry (Joyce) Blair both of Lanark, and Norm (Wava) Blair of Minnesota; her grandchildren, Amanda (Jaime) Meier, Kelly (Mitch) Staas, Troy and Chad Hivley, Shane (Jamie) Buss, and Ryan Buss; her great grandchild, Keira and Lilly Anna Hivley, Linley Meier, Piper and Lucy Staas, and Adelyn Buss; her sister in-laws, Florence (Marvin) Ruthe and Betty Heilman both of Freeport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Steven; 3 brothers, Donald, Thurlow, and Ralph Blair; and one special sister, Dorothea Luy.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorial funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2016 in the Chapel of Peace at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
There will be a gathering for friends and family Tuesday 10 a.m. until time of the service at Chapel Hill.
