Eldora "Tazzy" Christ, age 88 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Ascension St. Joseph Nursing Home in Freeport. She was born July 2, 1936; the daughter of the late Frederick and Hilda (Davis) Grundall. She was a graduate of Freeport High School. Tazzy married Emmanuel "Mike" Christ on October 10, 1960; he passed on April 10, 2017.

She worked at Honeywell for 35 years. Tazzy was a lifetime member of Friends Forever Humane Society of Freeport. Animals were her passion and she deeply loved her cats. She had an extensive Hallmark collection and enjoyed Fannie May chocolates. Together, Tazzy and Mike enjoyed dancing and listening to 50's music. She also looked forward to yearly trips to Edwards Apple Orchard.

She is survived by her sons, William "Bill" (Krystal) Christ of Freeport and Marc (Barbara) Christ of CA; daughter, Tina (Mark) Hepler of Freeport; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Park Hills Evangelical Free Church in Freeport. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. A time of fellowship will be hosted at the church following the interment that will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Friends Forever Human Society, Critter Camp, and Hoo Haven. Condolences may be shared with her family at www.walkermortuary.com.
