Freeport
Eleanora F. Hutchison, 71, of Freeport, died Monday, December 21, 2015, at Pearl Pavilion in Freeport. Born March 14, 1944 in Savanna, she was the daughter of Delbert O. and Virginia S. (Airhart) Haring.
She graduated from Elizabeth High School and attended Iowa State University and Highland and Rock Valley College.
She retired from the United States Bankruptcy Court in Rockford after more than 25 years of service.
Her memberships included, First United Methodist Church, Past Matron of Order of Eastern Star, Capernaum Shrine of Freeport, Faith Court Order of the Amaranth in Beloit, WI, Daughters of the Nile- Rockford Grand Lecturer, past Grand Officer of the Grand Chapter of Illinois-Past Grand Royal Matron of Amaranth of Wisconsin, Past Grand officer of the Grand Guardian Council of Jobs Daughters- Scottish Rite Women's Club- Freeport Commandry Auxiliary.
Surviving are her children, Tonya Peters of Freeport, Vernon "Tod" Hutchison of Buford, Georgia, Mark (Kathy) Hutchison of Barrington, Illinois; her sister, Bonnie (Bill) Horton of Freeport; her brother, Albert (Linda) Haring of New Lenox, Illinois; her grandchildren, Tyssa Peters, Tyler Peters, Jessica Hutchison, Cody Hutchison, Ella Hutchison, Sofia Hutchison, and Harriet Hutchison; her great grandchildren, Markell Pogue, Martiese Pogue, Mariyah Peters, and Kaylinn Peters; 3 nieces; 2 nephews; 2 great nieces; and 2 great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 infant sons, and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, December 26, 2015 at First United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.
Burial will be in the Derinda Cemetery in Derinda Center, Illinois.
A memorial has been established for the American Diabetes Association.
