DEMOTTE, IN-Elizabeth A. Butler, 90, formerly of Freeport died Monday March 27, 2006 at St. Anthony Hospital in Crown Point, IN. Born in Freeport in 1915 she was the daughter of August and Caroline Hillebrecht. She married Martin H. Butler on June 15, 1946. He died May 13, 2001.
She worked for Furst McNess, First Federal Savings and Loan in Lansing, IL and retired from Accurate Redi Mix in Hazel Crest, IL.
She was a member of Community Reformed Church in Freeport. Mrs. Butler enjoyed gardening and birds, especially cardinals.
Surviving are one son James Butler of Calumet City; four granddaughters, Dawn (Robert) Jurek of Lansing, IL, Christine (Raymond) Ramos of Demotte, IN, Kimberly (Eugene) Hill of St. John, IN, and Jennifer (Nicholas) Labas of Lowell, IN; Great grandchildren Brittanny, Bobby, Sheri, Alyssa, Nicholas, Ashlyn, Jessica.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, one brother Clarence, three sisters Anne, Edith and Laura, daughter in law Ruth Butler and grandson James Butler.
Funeral service will be 1:30 pm Thursday March 30, 2006 at the Community Reformed Church in Freeport with the Reverend Herbert Bollman officiating.
Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of the service on Thursday at the Church.
Entombment will take place in the Chapel of Peace in the Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum in Freeport.
