Elizabeth (Betty) Slick of Freeport passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018.  She was born on May 9, 1941 in Appleton City, MO. to the late Tom Bedford & Florence McKee.  She married Jim Slick on August 15, 1958 in Denver, CO.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting or painting things for her family.

She is survived by 2 sons, Jeffrey (Lori Castle) Slick of Freeport, Duane (Jodi Albright) Slick of Nixa, MO, and daughter, Dawn (Brian) Barr of Shannon; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren (#15 & #16 are on the way!) and 2 step-great grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother, J. D. Bedford.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 20th at Bethel United Methodist Church in Shannon, IL with the visitation at 10:00, funeral at 11:00 followed by a luncheon.  All are invited to attend graveside services at Lanark Cemetery following the luncheon.  In lieu of a memorial, the family requests that donations be made to a favorite charity in Mom's name.
