Ellen Hope (Broege) Sorensen age, 65 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport. She was born February 7, 1961 in Freeport; the daughter of the late Dwight and Marilyn (Lamm) Broege.

Ellen served in the United States Army and worked at Taco Bell as a shift manager.

She is survived by her partner of 30 years, Lenny Palmenderi; son, Andrew; brother, Mark; and sister, Connie Richardson.

She is preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Elaine Young; brother, Daniel Broege; and daughter, Hope.
