Obituary
Elsabeth R. Pfisterer, 85, of Freeport, died Thursday, December 19, 2013, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born December 14, 1928 in Winslow she was the daughter of Tom and Dorothy (Murphy) Pfisterer.
She was a graduate of Freeport High School, received a Bachelors Degree from Beloit College and a Masters of Art Degree in Spanish at UW Madison College.
She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church, Life member of the Illinois Education Association and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Elsabeth, following in the footsteps of her father, who was an educator, taught school in the Rockford School system for 25 years.
Surviving are her brother, Dr. Thomas Pfisterer in Tempe, AZ; her nieces, Diane (Kenneth) Morrow of Monterey, CA and Judy (John) Winiarski of Tempe, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Per her wishes there will be no funeral service.
Interment of her cremated remains will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Brodhead, WI.
A memorial has been established for First United Methodist Church.
