Obituary
Freeport-Elsie E Bardell, 100, of Freeport, died Friday, September 24, 2004, at Freeport Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.
Born November 4, 1903 in Afolkey she was the daughter of Emanuel and Dorothea (Haase) Lutz. She married Elmer Bardell December 20, 1924 and he died March 2, 1976.
She farmed with her husband in the Silver Creek and Dakota Townships until retirement in 1964. During that time she also worked at the Structo Manufacturing Co. in Freeport.
She was a member of Zion Church
Surviving is one daughter, Violet (Mervin) Brinkmeier of Freeport; daughter in-laws, Dolores Bardell of Cedarville, Betty Bardell of Freeport, Joan Bardell of Pearl City, and Barbara Bardell LaTondra of Pecatonica; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 6 sons; 1 daughter; 4 brothers; and 1 sister.
Funeral service will be Tuesday 2 p.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Robert Schroeder of Zion Church officiating. Burial will be in the Gund Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday 12 noon until time of service at Walker Mortuary.
