Freeport-Elva A. Earl, 76, of Freeport, died Sunday, January 14, 2007, at Freeport Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.
Born May 3, 1930 in Haldane she was the daughter of Ben and Etta (Girard ) Rowland. Elva worked at Micro Switch for over 40 years retiring in the late 1980's. She was an avid bowler and animal lover and a big supporter of the Friends Forever Humane Society in Freeport. Surviving are one sister, Alice Rebuck of Polo, two brothers, Robert (Margaret) Rowland of Ridott and Jesse (Ann) Rowland of Brooksville, FL, One sister-in-law, Pauline Rowland of Polo, several nieces and nephews and special friends Jeff Allen of Madison, WI., Wayne and Gwen Wittbecker of Freeport. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Funeral service and burial will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel of Peace in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with the Reverend David Decker officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Chapel of Peace. A memorial has been established in her name.
