Freeport – Emily Regina Snyder of Freeport, l passed away unexpectedly on August 10, 2024 at the age of 41.  Born in Sandusky, Ohio on January 11, 1983 to George Snyder and Tammy Thomas.  Emily was a light in all the lives that knew her.  To know her was to love her.

She was deeply devoted to her church, The New Beginnings Church in Rock City, IL.  Emily worked at FHN Burchard Hills Podiatry as a medical assistant.  She loved her work and co-workers very much.  She had found her niche there.

Emily loved spending time with her family and friends.  Even with a busy life she always made time for her nieces, Quinn and Ella and her nephew, Tiegen.  She adored them.

Emily's kind heart and sweet nature were her trademarks as well as her fashionista ways with matching outfits every day from hair bows to shoes and everything in-between.

Emily will be deeply missed by her parents, George and Tammy and step-father, Tom Thomas.  Sister, Scarlett (Shawn) Buchanan, brother, Donald (Lyndsey) Eastman, half-sister, Molly Welch and her Aunt, Terry Snyder of Norwalk, Ohio.  As well as a host of special friends who were blessed to know her and she them.

Services will for Emily will be Saturday, August 24th at 12pm at The New Beginnings Church where she attended at 7419 Brick School Rd Rock City, Illinois.  Flowers will be accepted on Saturday the 24th at the church between 10am and 12pm.  Because of Em's love and devotion to her church family we ask that donations be made to The New Beginnings Church, a place and people close to her heart.

Emily's life, though too short, was full of love, selflessness, joy and kindness.  She will be forever remembered for her radiant spirit and the positive impact she had on everyone she met.  Flowers in her hair-forever in our hearts.
