Freeport-Emma M. Weier, 89, of Freeport, died Sunday, June 12, 2005, at Rockford Memorial Hospital.
Born July 4, 1915 in Freeport she was the daughter of Edward and Meta (Yahnke) Ruthe. She married Walter W. Weier on April 27, 1935 in Galena and he died September 28, 2003 in Freeport.
Surviving is her son, Wayne (Nancy) Weier; her daughter, Jacklyn (Robert) Magee both of Freeport; 10 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren; 2 step great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 3 brothers; 2 sisters; 1 great grandson; 1 great-great grandson.
Funeral service will be Friday 1 p.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Lyle Babcock officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Thursday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name.
