Emma Louise Wise, age 101 of Davenport, IA, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice Home in Bettendorf, IA. She was born May 6, 1921 in Marsh, IA to the late Arthur and Delta (Lewis) Cadogan. She met her first husband, Virgil Ridenour while working at Maid-Rite in Muscatine, IA. They were married on May 6, 1939. She was a war bride stationed in Guam and ended up in Sacramento California. Virgil passed in January of 1993.

She later married John Wise on October 15, 1994 and then she moved to Freeport, IL. She was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church of Freeport. Louise enjoyed fishing, reading, sewing, playing cards and attending family get-togethers. She was adventurous and had a wonderful sense of humor.

She is survived by her son, Denison Ridenour of Bremerton, WA; 3 grandsons; sister, Judy (Hugh) Winslow of Davenport, IA; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a grandson; 5 brothers; and 4 sisters.

The funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 25 ^th at 11:00 a.m. at Harmony UMC with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.
