Esther Elizabeth Rickert passed away on April 23, 2021 at Provena St. Joseph nursing home in Freeport, IL. Esther was born in Freeport, IL on September 16, 1923 to Franklin and Bessie (Ferry) Eustice. She married John Rickert at St Mary's Church in 1940, where they were members, in Freeport, IL.

Esther traveled and moved a lot with her husband in the military. They were both members of the Elks Club. When she lived in Banning California she volunteered at the food pantry and enjoyed meeting and serving all the people who came in. She enjoyed ceramics, going to the casino, and playing bingo. Esther especially loved spending time with her family.

Esther is survived by her daughter, Janice (Burdette) Klever of Davis, IL; sons, John (Susan) Rickert of Freeport, IL, and William (Sandra) Rickert of Seattle Washinghton; Eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren, and one brother Robert Eustice.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, Frank Eustice and Carl Eustice, one grandson, John Rickert, and one infant great granddaughter.
