Eugene R. Chase, 77, of Freeport, formerly of Platteville, died Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at Stephenson Nursing Center in Freeport.
Born April 29, 1932 in Platteville, Wisconsin he was the son of Charles and Mildred (Hird) Chase.
Eugene worked at Malcom Eaton Enterprises for 40 years.
Surviving are his cousins, Carol Norregaard of Roscoe, Virginia Reum of Rockford, William (Betsy) Mareth of Rockford, and Robert (Marlene) Mareth of Monett, Missouri; a niece and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister.
Graveside services and burial will be held Monday 1 p.m. at the Hillside Cemetery in Platteville, Wisconsin.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for Malcom Eaton Enterprises.
