Eugene D. Dagle, Sr., age 84 of Scales Mound, IL, passed away at home on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. He was born February 19, 1938 in Des Moines, IA; the son of the late Francis and Lucille (Kolling) Dagle. He married Judith Weier on October 3, 1959; she passed on May 12, 2020.

Eugene owned and operated HD&H Tree Trimming. He also worked at the Iroquois Foundry, McNett Chevrolet, the New Glarus Nursing Home, and at the Hodan Center. Eugene enjoyed traveling and fishing. He also loved "tinkering" with various projects.

He is survived by his children, Arleen Dagle, Margene Dagle, Janine Dagle, Christine Dagle, Eric (Kathy) Dagle, and Eugene (Stephanie) Dagle, Jr.; grandchildren, Wendy Gray, Andrew (Kim) Gray, Jamie (Dena) Dagle, Jenny (James) Williams, Christopher Watson, Bradley Schubert, Robert Risser, Adam (Nicole) Swift, Ashley (Brandon) Hartzel, Tony (Bobbie) Schubert, Jeremy (Maggie) Schubert, and Heather Hayes; niece, Trish Truitt; and 24 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Mitch Dagle; and sister, Corrine.
