Freeport
Eunice G. Hildebrandt, 98, passed away April 25, 2015 at Parkview Home. Born March 12, 1917, in Danbury, WI, she was the daughter of Roy and Bertha Long. She graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1935, moved to Freeport and married Elmer Hildebrandt Sept. 24, 1938.
She worked at Western States Ins. Co, Freeport Junior High and Carl Sandburg schools. She was a member of St John's United Church of Christ, Woman's Fellowship, Tau Alpha, Freeport Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Civic Garden Club, Ladies of the Elks, Freeport Art Museum and Rockford Art Guild. She was active in Ladies Golf and Bowling Leagues and was an avid bridge player, gardener and artist.
She is survived by her son Fredric (Jane) Hildebrandt of Freeport, IL, two daughters Patricia (Justin) Kronewetter of Delaware, OH, Peggy (Rick)) Phillips of Des Moines, IA, 5 grandchildren, Brendon (Heather) Kronewetter of Lewis Center, OH, Nathan (Channing Kimball) Kronewetter of Denver CO, Suzanne (Tim) Fisher of Van Meter, IA, Daniel (Christy) Sullivan of Des Moines, IA, and Sarah (Rick) Lattanzio of Alexandria, VA, and 9 great grandchildren, Frankie and Turner Kronewetter; Pilar Fisher; Padraic, Maggy, Cate, Liam, Michael Sullivan, and Joseph Lattanzio.
Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer in 1986, and dear friend and companion, Howard Beall.
The family will hold a Memorial Celebration from 1 to 2:30 p.m. July 11, 2015 in Parkview Home's Social Room at 1234 South Park Blvd. in Freeport.
