Ev (Shippee) True "flew home" April 22, 2022 to meet Jesus. She is most likely zipping around heaven and rearranging a few things and Jesus is saying "Whoa, you just got here.  Sit down and rest a few minutes!"  She often talked about being "homesick for heaven".  So many people she loved were there waiting for her.  Ev True was born January 19, 1928 in Lena, IL to Leon Wright and Eliza May (Wiley) Shippee.  She was predeceased by her parents, her four brothers, Wiley, John, Willard, and Joseph, her older sister, Catherine Stringham, and her infant son Steven Beyer.  Her remaining sister, Julia Reeves, lives in Washington.  She will be missed by her daughters, Judith Ann (Bob) Jung of Stevens Point, WI, and Valerie (Bill) Elliott of Quartz Hill, CA, grandchildren Wendy (Tom) Huntley, Melissa (Jim) Isely-Poltrock, Jennifer Isely, Christopher (Neala) Jensen, Kevin (Laurie) Jensen, Roy Elliott, Will Elliott, 7 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and numerous friends spread across the United States and around the world.

She was a skydiver as a young woman and pilot. She had a love of everything aviation.  She wanted to do one more jump on her 95th birthday and have it be a fundraiser for ALS.  She had lost a dear Friend to it and wanted to help.  Plus she said she was sure she could do it because George Bush had jumped at 90.

Ev arranged an air show at Rock County Airport, Wisconsin, in 1962.  She originally tried to have the Thunderbirds fly it, but when they couldn't she got the Blue Angels instead.  It effectively sums up how she would not take no for an answer on most days.

Forever and a day she wanted her body to be donated to Mayo Clinic for research.  She is there now.  On to her next big adventure of trying to help the next guy!

Mom/Granny/Ev always signed off with LAPA, meaning Love And Prayers Always.  Thank you to her many friends for being in her life. LAPA from her family.
