Eva Mae Suess, 93, of Freeport, died Friday, April 22, 2011 at Provena St. Joseph.
Born July 18, 1917 in George, Iowa she was the daughter Henry and Hannah (Greenfield) Willemssen. She married Alvin Suess October 23, 1939 in Parkesburg, Iowa and he preceded her in death February 16, 2006.
She is survived by three daughters Neva (Don) Tempel of Pearl City, Rita (Don) Christians of Rockford, Mary (Nathan) Beach of Freeport; one son, LaVerne Suess of Hannibal, MO; 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 1 grandson, Curtis Beach; 1 step great grandson, Traver Millar; 2 brothers; and 7 sisters.
Funeral service will be Wednesday 11 a.m. at Zion Church in Freeport with Reverend Gardy Cronk officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Tuesday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial has been established for Zion Church.
