Evelyn Faye Swingley, 80, of Freeport, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at her home.
Born August 28, 1931 in Freeport she was the daughter of Stanley and Helena (Weick) Heise. She married William Burdick and he preceded her in death. She married William C. Swingley.
Evelyn was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She extended her love to everyone she knew.
Evelyn worked for the Freeport Country Club.
She was a member of First Church of the Open Bible.
Surviving are 2 sons, Thomas Burdick of Lena and Timothy (Diane) Burdick of Freeport; 3 daughters, Dixie (The Late Walter) McLain, Marguerite (David) Fissell, and Nancy Faye Burdick all of Freeport; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 3 sisters; and 1 brother.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012 at First Church of the Open Bible.
Visitation will be Friday 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.
A memorial has been established in her name.
