Obituary

Faith Adella (Cahoon) Glaman , age 95, passed away on January 20, 2020 at Liberty Village Manor Court in Freeport, Illinois following an extended illness.

She was born in Orangeville, IL on August 7, 1924 to Luella Myrtle (Jaycox) Cahoon and Jennings Gilbert Cahoon.  Faith graduated from Orangeville High School in 1943.  During WWII, Faith volunteered as a nurse's aide.

On June 7, 1946, Faith was united in marriage to Harold Charles Glaman in Orangeville, IL.   Shortly after they moved to Polo, IL. They were happily married for 64 years and raised two children and grandchildren.  Faith retired from a 25 year career in customer service at Bergners.  She was also a member of Polo First United Methodist Church, now known as Faith United Methodist Church.  In her free time, Faith enjoyed traveling with her husband, family and friends and spending time and many laughs with "The Gang".

Survivors include, her son, Robert Glaman of Forreston; grandson, Mathew Pace of Dixon, IL; granddaughter, Jennifer Pace of Montross, VA; great-grandaughter, Lillian Walker of Montross, VA; nieces: Kathy Moring (Ronald) of Lena, IL, Kay Chitwood (James) of Oshkosh, WI, Sandra (Don) Gillooley of Auburn, WA, Betty Cahoon (surviving wife of Larry Cahoon) of Iowa City, IA, Nancy Dunk of Placerville, CA, Jean (Bill) Weber of Plymouth, MI; nephews: Craig (JoAnn) Cahoon of Orangeville, IL, Mark Wilcox of Spokane, WA, and James Cooper (Cathy) of Plymouth, MI and many more extended family members.

Faith was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Judith (Glaman) Hite; sisters: Gertrude Cooper and Pauline Wilcox; brothers: Gilbert Cahoon and Carl Cahoon; nieces: Elaine Titus, Susan Howe, and Ann Springer; and nephew, Larry Cahoon.

The family gives their special thanks to the staff of nurses, CNA's and aides at Liberty Village Garden Court and Manor Court for their compassion, support and care, as well as, FHN Hospice for the comfort and attention provided for both Faith and her family.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A celebration of Faith's and her daughter, Judith's life will be held at a later date at Faith United Methodist Church in Polo.
