Obituary
Freeport, Fern M. Leake, 80, of Freeport, died Friday, April 23, 2004, at the Stephenson Nursing Center.
She was born July 28, 1923 in Wheeler, Indiana.
She worked at Burgess Battery and then Micro Switch for 22 years until her retirement.
Surviving are her son, Kevin M. (Debbie Dwyer) Leake of Freeport; two grandchildren, Kyle M. Leake of Freeport, and Tabitha Dorn of Rockton; 2 nephews, Ken Reimers of Freeport and Darrell Reimers of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; one brother.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorial services will be Friday 3 p.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Don Jamerson of First Free Methodist Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name.
