Baileyville-Florence Meinen, 80, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.
Born March 3, 1928 in Monroe, Wisconsin she was the daughter of Fred and Ruth (Miller) Zettle. She married Harold F. Meinen October 11, 1947 and he died January 28, 2005.
She was retired from Micro Switch Company in Freeport.
Florence loved her flowers and watching her birds. She especially enjoyed the family gatherings at her home.
Surviving are her sons, Gerald (Eva) Meinen of Forreston and Roger (Diane) Meinen of Freeport; grandchildren, Jennifer Knott of Texas, Jodi Behrens of Peru, Stephanie (David) Harridge of Mt. Carroll, Trisha (Ben) Monigold of Jackson, Wyoming, Mike Nicodemus of Chicago; 10 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Elmer (Dixie) Zettle of Freeport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her brothers, and her sisters.
Funeral service will be Monday 2 p.m. at Walker Mortuary. Burial will be in Cranes Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday 1 p.m. until time of service at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial has been established in her name.
