Freeport: Floris M. Blackbourn, 92, of Freeport, died Monday, January 28, 2008 at her home in Freeport. Born March 24, 1915 in Stockton, IL she was the daughter of Bert and Grace (Polhill) Penticoff. On May 15, 1944 she married Fredrick L. Blackbourn in Freeport and he preceded her in death in 1953. Floris was a quality control inspector with the W.T. Rawleigh Co. retiring in 1983. Surviving are her four sons, Fredrick (Anita) Blackbourn, Lawrence (Patricia) Blackbourn, Donald (Rosemary) Blackbourn all of Freeport and Marvin (Charlotte) Blackbourn of Stockton; 9 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, 1 brother and 1 sister. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Thursday January 31, 2008 at Walker Mortuary with the Reverend Don Jamerson officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Garden, Freeport. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-6 pm at the Mortuary and Thursday from 10 am until the time of service. A memorial has been established.
