Lena- Floyd C. Julius, 90, of rural Lena, died Saturday, November 18, 2006 at home.
Born April 18, 1916 in Harlem Township he was the son of Simon and Minnie (Karstedt) Julius. He married Irene Baker September 29, 1940.
Floyd was a retired Stephenson County farmer.
His memberships included Lena Evangelical Free Church and the Stephenson County Farm Bureau.
He and his wife wintered in Arizona for 15 years where he was in a Men's garden club. He enjoyed hiking, square dancing, playing cards, traveling and most of all spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife, Irene of Lena; two daughters, Sylvia (Jerald) Henze of Dakota and Judy (Norman) Schroeder of Plymouth, Wisconsin; one son, Jeff (Sally) Julius of Lena; one daughter in-law, Arden Julius of Lena; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 7 brothers; 5 sisters; and one son, Leonard Julius.
Funeral service will be Tuesday 11: 30 a.m. at Lena Evangelical Free Church with Reverend Jim Erb officiating. Burial will be in the Waddams Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday 10:30 a.m. until time of service at Lena Evangelical Free Church.
A memorial has been established in his name.
