Frana M. Wieck, 86, of Freeport, died Sunday, November 25, 2007, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born February 21, 1921 in New Glarus, Wisconsin she was the daughter of Fred and Mina (Emch) Moser. She married Alfred Wieck February 7, 1942 and he died October of 2001.
She worked for Burgess Battery, the US Post Office, and was a farm wife with her husband.
She was a member of Red Oak United Methodist Church.
Frana loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughters, Susan (Gary) Hutmacher of Red Oak and Patricia (James) Kloepping of Chana; three grandsons, Christian (Keri) Kloepping of Arizona, Timothy (Andrea) Kloepping of Texas, and Jason Kloepping of Chana; one granddaughter, Teresa (Peter) Knipschield of Red Oak; and six great grandchildren, Amber, Ashley, Emma, Elijah, Payton, and Aubrey.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral service will be Wednesday 1 p.m. at Cedarville Emmanuel Evangelical Congregational Church with Reverend Jack Ward officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Tuesday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial has been established for the Stephenson County Senior Center.
