Frances J. Cooper, age 69 of Freeport, IL, passed away Monday, January 2, 2016 at Alden-Park Strathmoor nursing home in Rockford, IL. She was born April 30, 1947; the daughter of the late Ralph and Phyllis (Feeley) Durham. She attended Freeport High School and was a CNA all of her life, working for hospitals, nursing homes and homecare.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Jeff) Hardy of Shannon, IL; son, Garette (Dawn) Cooper of South Carolina; grandchildren, Michael, Matthieu & Jessie Cooper, Aryanne Boland, Brittney Hardy and Adam Hardy; 7 great grandchildren; four sisters; and two brothers. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister and one brother.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 6th at 1:00 pm at Walker Mortuary in Freeport with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm. A memorial fund has been established in her name
