Frances E. Morrow, 98, formerly of Freeport, died Friday, March 7th,
2008 at the Neighbor's Nursing Home in Byron. Born June 15th, 1909 in
Savanna, IL, she was the daughter of William and Bertha (Goodmiller) Endress.
Frances married Leo Morrow October 21st, 1933. Frances and Leo
celebrated 50 years of marriage before Leo's death on September 7th,
1984. Leo and Frances were very devoted to each other and was a loving,
caring couple of their families and friends. Frances was a member of the
First United Methodist Church, Savanna, IL. Frances was a 1931 graduate
of Freeport Methodist Hospital, working as a registered nurse in several
states as an industrial nurse and in private duty. She then was employed
for 18 years in Lane's Dress Shop in Freeport.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 4 brothers, 1 sister, nephews and nieces.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Downs, Lanark, many nieces/nephews, many great nieces/nephews, and many great-great nieces/nephews.
She will be missed by all.
Services will be Tuesday, March 11th, 2008 at 11am in the Walker
Mortuary, Freeport with the Rev. Larry Tyner officiating.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the Mortuary.
Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Chester Durnas
and the Neighbor's Nursing Home of Byron for the excellent care given
and love shown for Frances. It is deeply appreciated.
