Francis R. "Bob" "Frank" Malloy, 77, of Freeport, died Saturday, March 28, 2015, at this home in Freeport.
Born April 30, 1937 in Frackville, Pennsylvania he was the son of Joseph and Martha (Kelly) Malloy. He married Donna Wittbecker March 2, 1961 and she died June 6, 2008. He was an U.S. Air Force veteran.
Bob worked at Furst McNess for ten years and eight years for the Stephenson County Sheriff.
Surviving are his children, Lisa Bardell, Lori (James) Hartman, Edward Meyers all of Freeport, Steven (Terri) Meyers of Mt. Morris, David (Amy) Tree of Florida,and Robert (Betsey) Harris of Alabama; sister, Kay (Dave) Eisenmann of West Bend, Iowa; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Lynda Fargher, son, Rickey Meyers, three brothers and three sisters. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the Eastgate Christian Center. Visitation will be Thursday 1 p.m. until time of service at the Center. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name.
