Orangeville- Francis Paul Humphrey, 91, of Orangeville, died Monday, September 3, 2007.
Born December 22, 1915 in Wilmaithsville, Missouri he was the son of Clinton and Monna (Dunham) Humphrey. He married Iris Lee Todd August 3, 1945 in Rockford and she died in March of 1982.
He was a veteran of WWII and Korean Conflict.
His memberships included the VFW and American Legion.
Francis spent 20 years in the United States Air Force. In 1964 came to Freeport owning Power Mower Sales until his retirement in 1978.
Surviving is his daughter, Paula Humphrey of Orangeville; two grandchildren, Paul Allen Humphrey of McConnell and Joseph (Angie) Humphrey of Freeport; great grandchildren, Kassidy and Kalli Humphrey of McConnell, Hudson Humphrey and Zachary Arachikavitz of Freeport; one brother, Ernest Humphrey of Queen City, Missouri; 3 sisters, Beulah Neal of Springfield, Missouri, Minnie Mahler of Fletcher, Oklahoma, and Fern Bratton of Kirksville, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 1 son; 3 brothers.
Funeral service will be Friday 11 a.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Don Jamerson of First Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery & Mausoleum.
Visitation will be Friday 10 a.m. until time of service at the Mortuary.
