Frank Ebneter was born in St. Galen, Switzerland on January 28, 1918. In 1924 he came to the United States with his parents John and Emily Ebneter.
"Frankie" was a well known musician in the Midwest. Before television he played with Lawrence Welk and was offered a job touring with the Band. He played last on stage on his 80th birthday with a polka band at the Riverside Casino in Laughlin, Nevada.
Frank is survived by his daughter and son-in-law JoAnn and Jim Black, with whom he resided with for the last 10 years. Grandsons Jim (Gidget) Black, Jeff (Milissa Minnaert) Black, great granddaughters Tori and Jamie Black and grandson Mike Dodd all of Freeport; Daughters Ramona Dodd of Las Vegas, Nevada, Janice Dearth and Judith Ebneter of Beloit, WI, and Virginia (Rich) Kabbe of Des Plains; also 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
He is predeceased by parents, beloved Virginia , and son Doug Ebneter.
Memorial service to be held at Bethel Hawthorn Cemetery in Monroe, WI on October 10th at 2:00 pm.
