Obituary

Frederick C. Schurch, 92, of Davis died Sunday January 24, 2016 at FHM Memorial hospital.
Born September 19, 1923 in Rock Grove Township he was the son of Ernest and Frieda (Siegenthaler) Schurch. He married Irene Koepp December 23, 1944 and she died January 7, 2010.
Fred was a lifetime Rock Grove township farmer and then was a milk hauler for Prairie Hill Cheese Company.
He was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church until its closing. His memberships included St. Paul Church of Epleyanna and Stephenson County Farm Bureau.
An avid St. Louis Cardinals fan he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by one daughter Diane (William) Munson of Knoxville; two sons Duane (Diane) Schurch of Orangeville, Gary (Susan) Schurch of Dakota; seven grandchildren five great grandchildren; one sister, Gertrude Schneeberger of Brodhead, Wisconsin.
He is preceded in death by her parents; his wife, Irene; son Lance Cpl. Ronald Schurch, granddaughter Meredith Schurch and great grandson Dakota Munson; and 7 sisters.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorial services will be 11: 00 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016 at St. Paul Church of Epleyanna in Davis.
There will be a visitation 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church on Saturday.
Burial will be in the Rock Grove Union Cemetery in Rock Grove. A memorial fund has been established in his name for FHN Hospice and St. Paul Church of Epleyanna.
