Gary Lee Boeger, 76, of Davis passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at his home. Born November 19, 1937 in German Valley, he was the son of Edward and Sadie (Eiseman) Boeger. On February 14, 1959 he and Sharon Horstmeier were united in marriage at the EUB Church of Davis. For many years Gary worked for JI Case Co. and retired after 27 years from Dean Foods. He was an avid fisherman, loved to ice fish at Lake Summerset and work his garden. Surviving are his wife Sharon of Davis, two sons Derek (Kelley) Boeger of Rock City, Lance Boeger of Davis; one grandson Lukas Boeger of Rock City; a sister Darlene Langley of Durand; many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother Francis. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2014 at Faith Community Church of Davis, 212 W. McKimmy St. Davis. Funeral service will be 10:30 am Saturday at Church with Pastor Bob Kolb officiating. Burial will be at the Davis Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Community Church food pantry and the Rockford Rescue Mission.
