Gary L. Wilson, age 80 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the Lena Living Center in Lena, IL. He was born February 16, 1942; the son of the late Leslie and Dorothy (Spaide) Wilson. He graduated from Freeport High School and went on to receive his Bachelor's Degree from Elmhurst College.

Gary was the cost accountant supervisor for Starline Inc. in Harvard, IL. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ of Freeport, IL. He was also a member of the Stephenson County Historical Society. Gary enjoyed going to antique shows and auctions. In his later years, he loved going to concerts of all kinds.

He is survived by cousins, Darrel Wilson, Michael Wilson, Carol Moralez, and Sandra Knox; and longtime special friends, Jack & Judy Petta.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held on Friday, September 16 ^th at 1:00 p.m. in the Mausoleum at Oakland Cemetery in Freeport. A memorial fund has been established in his name. Condolences may be shared at www.walkermortuary.com.
