Davis – Gayle D. Gladkin, 70 of Davis passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, April 24, 2022.  She was born on October 19, 1951 in Freeport to George and Mildred (Dunbar) Morey.  She went to Freeport High School and graduated in 1969.  She married Wally Gladkin on September 5, 1982 and together they owned and operated Wally G's bar and grill in Forreston from 1998-2005.  Through the years, Gayle worked for Economy, Northwestern Illinois Mutual and Dunham and Chemung Mutual Insurance Co in administration.  She was secretary for the Lake Summerset Association Board at the time of her passing.

Gayle loved to craft, go to craft shows, sew, spend time with her grandchildren, and take long walks at the Lake Summerset dog park with her puppy "Bob".

She is survived by her Daughters, Lisa (Rob) Miller of Orangeville; Amy Kampmier – Soto (Hector Tobar) of Spring Lake, NC and her son Nikolaus (April) Gladkin of Raleigh, N.C. Her sisters, Carol "Susie" Boone of Freeport, and Jean (Carl) Brinkmeier of Forreston as well as a special family friend, Russ Kilker of Davis.

Gayle is proceeded in death by her parents George and Mildred, husband Wally and brother in law Loren Boone.

Her legacy also includes her grandchildren, Justin (Courtney) Miller of Lena, Brandy (Joshua Haberman) Miller of Calhoun, GA, Izzy Swalve of Spring Lake, N.C. and Ben Sequin of Raleigh, N.C.  There are 4 great grandchildren that include, Gracelyn, Gavin, Graham, Gentry Miller and Nikolos Haberman.

There will be a visitation on Friday, April 29 from 4-7 pm at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Dakota.  Services will be Saturday, April 30 ^th at 10:30am also at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Rock City Cemetery. The Daughenbaugh Funeral Home of Dakota is assisting her family.
