Freeport – Genene Kay St. John, 77 of Freeport died on Monday, July 12 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Rockford, IL.  She was born on October 26, 1943 in Freeport to the late Frederick and Ethlyn (Kohn) Busker.  After High School she worked for Metlife and retired from there on May 31, 2006.  Genene loved to bowl, flower garden, take walks and visit with her closest friends.  She was an Avid Cubs and Packer Fan too.

She is survived by her two daughters, Denice (Timothy) Meidinger of Friendswood, TX and Holly (Matthew) Hille of Shannon, IL.  Her brother Fred Busker of Freeport; Sister, Sharon Campbell of Tuscola, IL; and her sister-in-law, Susie Busker of Freeport.  Her pride and joy was her one and only granddaughter, Maiya Hille of Shannon.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Joel Busker.

A visitation will be held at Walker Mortuary on Friday, July 16 ^th from 4-7pm.  Services will be Saturday at 10am also at Walker Mortuary.  If you would like to wear your favorite sports team attire (shirts, jerseys etc.) to the visitation or service please feel free.  Her final resting place will be Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
