Freeport – Georgette E. Holden, 74 of Freeport died on Monday, January 24, 2022 at home surrounded by family.  She was born on August 8, 1947 in Mauston, WI to the late Frederick and Elsie (Anderson) Moshure.  She graduated from Montello High School in Montello, WI in 1965.  She married Earl Holden on October 1, 1966 at the First Nazarene Church in Freeport and together they raised a family.

Georgette enjoyed many things in life such as hunting and fishing with her father, camping with her family at Lake Puckaway in Montello, WI, playing cards and dominos with family and friends.  She was a huge Packer Fan and she was known for her oyster soup on Christmas Eve.  Georgette also volunteered at the VOICES Book Nook in Freeport during her retirement years.

She is survived by her husband, Earl L. Holden of Freeport; Her son, Earl M. (Tara) Holden of Fulton, IL; Son, Eddie (Karen) Holden of Freeport; and Fred (Missy) Holden of Orangeville. She has three sisters, Bernice (Bob) Wegner of Montello, WI; Ruth (Dennis) Schmudlach of Manitowoc, WI; and Mary (John) Otto of Montello, WI.

Her legacy also includes her grandchildren, Candace Holden of Davenport, IA; Chase Holden of Aurora, IL; Braizee Holden of Clinton, IA; Devin and Chris Jarrett both of Clinton, IA; Chris Holden of Montello, WI; Eddie (Megan) Holden of Freeport, Freddie Holden of Montello, WI; Tyler Stuckemeyer of Dixon, IL; Leroy Holden of Illinois; and Michael (Kasi) Welch of Orangeville.  Her great grandchildren include are Aaliyah, Aniyah, Anthony, Amari and Marleigh.

Her visitation will be on Sunday, January 30 ^th from 3-6 pm at Walker Mortuary.  Her service will be on Monday, January 31 ^st with a brief visitation beginning at 10:30am and a service at 11:30am also at Walker Mortuary.  Her final resting place will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in her name for Friends Forever Humane Society.  Condolences can be left for the family at www.walkermortuary.com .
