Obituary
Gerald W. Cooper, age 77 of Durand, IL passed away at home Wednesday, March 22, 2017. He was born February 15, 1940; the son of the late Charles and Hattie (Black) Cooper. He attended Durand High School. Gerald married Rosie Ingram in 1961.
He had worked at Chrysler for over 30 years, retiring in 2001. Gerald enjoyed drinking coffee and spending time with his grandsons and granddaughters.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie Cooper of Durand, IL; daughters, Rebecca (William) Swick of Durand and Elizabeth (Douglas) Bryant of Tacoma, WA; dauther-in-law Andrea Cooper (widow of Dirk Cooper; and grandchildren, Andrew Cooper, Nathan Cooper, Rachel Cooper, Tyler Bryant and Emily Bryant. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dirk Cooper; and brothers, Lawrence, Roland and Howard.
A private graveside service will be held at the Durand Cemetery in Durand, IL.
