Obituary
Freeport: Gerald E. Diestelmeier, 71, of Freeport, died Thursday September 9, 2004 at his home.
Born October 24, 1932 in Eleroy he was the son of Raymond and Pauline (Beck) Diestelmeier.
Gerald farmed in the southern Wisconsin area until his retirement.
Surviving are two daughters, Colleen (Timothy) Ward of Cottage Grove, WI and Cheryl (John) Barman of Cross Plains, WI, one son, Michael (Karen) Diestelmeier of Madison, WI, eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter, one sister, Judith (Arlen) Meyers of Durand, three brothers, Eugene (Jean Curtis) Diestelmeier of Elizabeth, Don (Shirley) Diestelmeier of Freeport and Ronald (Debbie) Diestelmeier of South Beloit, several nieces and nephews.
His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Monday at Walker Mortuary with the Reverend Dr. Ward Malloy of Bethany United Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Garden. Visitation will be Monday 12:30 pm until the time of service at Walker Mortuary.
