Obituary
Gerald Gordon Ditzler, 82, of Yuma, formerly of Freeport and Pearl City, Illinois, died Sunday, April 8, 2012, at his home in Yuma.
Born July 4, 1929 in Pearl City he was the son of Perry and Marie (Bareis) Ditzler. He married Norma Jean Browning June 9, 1951.
He worked at Micro Switch Company in Freeport for 33 years.
A veteran of the Korean War he was a member of the American Legion in Pearl City.
Surviving are his wife, Norma of Yuma; 3 sons, Rodney (Debbie) Ditzler of Freeport, Steven Ditzler of Collinsville, Illinois, and Tom (Karmen) Ditzler of Yuma, Arizona; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Carol Tompkins of Winnebago, Illinois; 1 brother, Theron (Dorothy) Ditzler of Pearl City, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister, Eunice Daniels; and 1 brother, Robert Ditzler.
