Freeport – Gerald L. Haefner, 82 of Freeport passed away at FHN Memorial Hospital on October 30, 2022.  He was born on October 29, 1940.  He married Donna (Conder) Moyer in 1964.  He worked at Kelly Springfield for 33 years and retired in 1999.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Haefner; his children, William Moyer of Monona, WI; Daughters, Ruth Agee of Elko, NV; Beth Stewart of Dubuque, IA and Patricia Kennedy of Nampa, Idaho.  His brother, Charles Haefner of CA.  There are 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren as well as 1 great great grandchild.

Preceding him in death are his Daughter, Paulette Schubert; Son, Paul Moyer, grandsons, Derrick Moyer, Robert Bates and Granddaughter, Amber Moyer.  Also his brother, Paul Haefner; sister Barbara Purdum and his parents, Paul and Erma Haefner.
