Pearl City: Gerald L. "Punch" Aurand, 61, of Pearl City died Sunday April 18, 2010 with his loving wife by his side at The University Hospital in Madison, WI. Born November 12, 1948 in Freeport he was the son of LaVerne and Dorothy (Arnold) Aurand. On September 17, 1982 he married Lynette R. Busker in Freeport. Since 1978 Gerald was a Hobbyist, custom car builder and knife maker. He was a member of the Yellow Creek Country Club and spent time going to car shows, hunting, target shooting and riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. Gerald is survived by his wife, Lynette of Pearl City; one son, Mark (Lori) Plath of Warren; one brother Ricky (Karen) Aurand of Pearl City; two step sons, Michael (Deanna) Busker and Jason Busker both of Freeport ; three grandchildren, Tyler and Taylor Plath and Angelina Busker; Father-In-Law, Ralph Durham of Freeport and his Himalayan Cat "Gizmo". He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dennis Aurand. Cremation Rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday April 23, 2010 at Walker Mortuary, Freeport. A Gathering will be held Friday from 12 Noon until the time of service at the Mortuary.
