Geraldine L. (Geri) Trandel, 87, of Freeport, died Saturday, February 23, 2013, at Parkview Home.
Born August 20, 1925 in Freeport she was the daughter of Alfred and Irene (DeFrane) Raih. She married Roger J. Trandel in Chicago on August 20, 1949.
Geraldine was employed at The Hotel Sherman in Chicago for one year then at James Monroe Elementary School in Chicago for 34 years.
Her memberships included Park Hills Evangelical Free Church and Friends Forever Humane Society in Freeport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Roger; and her step-father, Ray Miller.
There will be no visitation.
Graveside funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Cedarville Cemetery in Cedarville with Reverend Tom McClellan officiating.
