Obituary
Freeport-Geraldine A. Young, 77, of Freeport, died Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born June 21, 1927 in Freeport she was the daughter of August and Hattie Wienand. She married Lorelle E. "Brig" Young in March of 1951.
She worked at Burgess Battery, Micro Switch, State Bank (US Bank today), and Empire Dry Cleaners.
She was a member of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving is her husband, "Brig" of Freeport, 2 sons, David (Jill) Young of Roscoe and Brett Young of Rockford; 4 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; several brothers and sisters.
Funeral service and burial will be Friday 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Friday 1 p.m. until time of service in the Chapel of Peace.
A memorial has been established in her name.
